URHOUSE & P.SPACE: DISCUSSING DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION IN ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN
On October 17, 2024, a special discussion took place at the URHOUSE office with SINASEAN Vietnam, the trade promotion representative for PARALLEL SPACE – South Korea. This was an opportunity for both parties to exchange and share knowledge and information about new technical software designed to support architects and interior designers. The meeting opened up numerous collaboration opportunities while providing valuable insights into how technology can optimize the design and project implementation process.

PARALLEL SPACE is a company specializing in providing solutions and software platforms for the construction technology and architecture industry, focusing on digitalization and 3D data management. P-Engine and P-House are two of the company’s standout products, supporting the creation and optimization of 3D models for manufacturing, industrial processes, real estate, and facility management.
- P-Engine is a 3D
- P-House is a 3D space solusion for residential and commercial construction. It enables the creation of 3D content with real-world information, accurately reflecting objects and environments. P-House supports viewing and interaction on mobile devices, allowing users to directly explore and interact with 3D simulation models. It also facilitates error detection, space arrangement and facility management.
Jung Insung, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of PARALLEL SPACE, stated that this technology enables rapid digitization of 2D files into 3D, reducing time and labor by up to 65% compared to traditional methods. For example, a 3D drawing that previously required eight people to complete can now be done with just three when adopting this technology. Additionally, instead of relying on high-performance computers requiring up to 50GB of storage, this technology can be processed on a basic office laptop or even a mobile phone, with storage needs reduced to just 17GB. Notably, the technology allows architects to make small modifications to drawings, such as repositioning furniture, and see the results instantly within just two seconds—whereas traditional rendering software would take up to 60 minutes to complete the same task.
According to CSO Jung Insung, this technology has been successfully implemented in major projects in South Korea, including a home design business application developed in collaboration with Samsung. The application allows customers to design and arrange interiors using pre-set templates. What makes it unique is that it not only displays interior images but also accurately simulates the user’s actual apartment, helping them visualize and make informed purchasing decisions with ease.
Although the discussion was brief, it left a lasting impression. Initially, the technological concepts introduced by PARALLEL SPACE seemed somewhat abstract and complex. However, as the discussion progressed, the URHOUSE team truly began to grasp the immense potential of this solution.
