Overview of the interior design project at Senturia Vuon Lai

Located in An Phú Đông Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, Senturia Vườn Lài enjoys a prime location with two sides adjacent to the Saigon River and Rạch Gia River. It is entirely secluded from the bustling city life of Saigon.

The Senturia project draws inspiration from contemporary design, embodying sophistication and elegance while maintaining a minimalist and refined aesthetic. The harmonious lines, smooth material surfaces, and streamlined furniture serve as the optimal solution for a home with a width of just 5 meters.

Design Concept

The front yard is divided into two distinct areas: one for parking and another leading to the entrance. Initially, a simple sloped pathway was considered to connect the house to the main road. However, to create a more poetic and refined ambiance, URHOUSE opted for basalt stone steps interwoven with greenery, softening the overall space and fostering a sense of closeness to nature.

The spacious living room features a three-seater sofa as the centerpiece, complemented by two beige armchairs and a round coffee table, achieving a balanced and harmonious composition.

One of the most striking elements is the feature wall behind the sofa, meticulously designed with evenly spaced panels. The URHOUSE team dedicated significant time to refining the design, adjusting proportions, dimensions, and spacing between the joints, followed by rigorous prototyping and on-site installation to achieve a flawless result.

The kitchen and dining areas share an open-plan layout. The kitchen is strategically positioned near the window to maximize natural light and airflow, ensuring ventilation during use. Opposite the kitchen, the wooden dining table exudes a timeless elegance, while the dining chairs, with their straight-backed design, not only enhance the space’s sophistication but also provide an open and spacious walkway.

The master bedroom embraces a minimalist design, featuring a 1.8m-wide bed with a premium latex mattress for optimal comfort and softness. The bed frame is elevated 150mm, allowing a robotic vacuum to operate seamlessly underneath, ensuring a consistently clean environment.

Before entering the master bedroom, one must pass through a hallway that houses a walk-in closet on the right and a bathroom on the left. This layout completely separates the sleeping space, offering the homeowner enhanced privacy.

The walk-in closet is divided into three distinct sections: a shelf for shoes and handbags, a wardrobe area for clothing and accessories, and the longest wardrobe section, equipped entirely with hanging rods to accommodate both long and short garments.

The bathroom is also designed with separate wet and dry areas, delineated by a stone threshold. A dual-sink vanity enhances convenience for both spouses.

The grandparents’ bedroom is designed with two single beds to ensure maximum comfort and convenience. Since elderly individuals tend to be light sleepers, separate beds help them achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
